Confused about due date

So my expected due date was suppose to be November 7, 2010. I went in for an ultrasound at 7 weeks 4 days. They told me that the baby was measuring at just 6 weeks. They are now estimating my due date to be November 16th.

I'm confused because my last AF was January 31st. I ovulated on February 17-18th (acording to CBE Fertility Monitor). My cycle length varries since I'm still nursing and had just started AF again. According to all this information my due date for a 35 day cycle would make my due date no later than November 11th.

Is it possible that the fetus is just measuring small and that they're wrong about my date? I just don't like not knowing the exact week. Now I have to adjust when I'm going to tell my family. Waiting an entire week longer than I expected seems like torture.

the ultrasound is a good way to measure, but I wouldnt worry about it yet, nless it shows something in the future to worry about. but yeah it wouild make it harder to wiat and tell. gosh how do you do any amount of waiting its not even 24 hours and I am having issues keeping it to myself

Baby doesn't generally measure small at this stage, it's pretty uniform which is why it is such a good indicator of due date if an early ultrasound is done. I would say it sound like you ovulated later in your cycle than you thought. CBE Monitor to my knowledge just tell you when you ovulate just tells you when you have a high likelihood of ovulating in the next few days
