Name help

We aren't asking anyone their opinion in real life - we want it to be a surprise. But I'm dying to get someone's opinion (besides my husband's). What do you think of these for a girl...

Maela (pronounced May- la)
Eleanora

I'm not a big fan of top 100 names. Our dd name is Naomi. Mae was my grandmother's middle name (her first name was Myrtle so that's out ). Eleanora I think can be shortened to Ella or Nora (I always wanted a name that could be shortened. I think both Maela and Eleanora go with Naomi (named after my husband's grandmother), which is also important to me.

So let me have it - what do you think?

TIA!!

I like Maela (especially for the sentimental factor)

Maela is much better than Eleanora IMO. Eleanora reminds me of an old lady name or something. My vote- Maela!

I LOVE Eleanora! I think it actually rolls off the tongue much nicer than the other one.

My vote is for Maela. It's original (and sentimental) without being too far out or unpronouncable. Ella is SUPER popular right now.
