Creighton Model

Can the creighton model be used while breastfeeding and while baby isn't sleeping through the night? I know you need a good night sleep to take accurate bbt. Right? Can I just use cervical mucus as an indicator?

Re: Creighton Model

Yes, I think just cervical mucous is the best bet in your situation.

I always just use cervical mucous as between kids, neighborhood and dh during certian times of year, Im bound to wake up in the middle of the night to handle a situation...thus I dont waste my time temping, atleast not til were seriously done having kids.

Re: Creighton Model

To make sure I understand...if I have a pattern of CM and then it stops/dries, I need to wait 4 days to have unprotected sex? Is that what you do?

Re: Creighton Model

There's a lot to the Creighton Model - including a standardized way of making and recording observations. It's a great system for postpartum. It is meant to be learned from a teacher, so I would highly encourage you to find one. If there's no one local, many teachers work with long distance couples.
