HS Check in. Dec 31-Jan 13

School work has not gone well this week between all the dr appointments and dentist appointments and me not feeling the best school was barely done. But next week things will be back in full swing. Our science and art classes start back up and come the beginning of feb we will start a homeschool rock climbing class. I am really looking forward to watching the kids in that one.

It is way too nice outside to do school today! The temp is in the 60s and the sun is shining--we are playing outside! Especially since it is only going to last 1 day. Tomorrow night (or maybe Sun?) there is a good chance of snow. If we get the chance, we may take a day off to play in the snow too! It seems like we don't see as much of it here as we used to.

We did do Keegan's reading stuff this morning, but that's it so far. Not sure if we will do anything else or not. We're mostly enjoying the great weather.

We really haven't done anything school related today. Had a slow morning, then we went to church and helped serve Friday lunch (a service we do for the high school across the street -- kids come buy lunch at the church), and we ran to the store. Right now they are all in their rooms, probably playing or reading. I haven't slept well this week and we've struggled with getting back into a routine since taking a break. Next week will be better.

Tonight, however, we are having a couple friends over and we're going to use our new telescope.

We've done no school today. I'm waiting for the curriculum box to arrive, and then our school will be dd and me tearing into the "goodies."

We read two chapters of our RA and watched Wartime Farm.

We were going to do a bit of homeschooling this morning since we've been a bit slack this week. My kids did a days worth of stuff in less than an hour, so they must have been pretty motivated to get out and play, lol.
