We are about ready to start trying again after a 10wk loss. Things are looking up financially and I think we're ready. We have 3 boys and this will be our last baby. A huge part of me wants to plan our timing around the Chinese calendar (correct for all 3 boys) and add in a bit of Shettles. But then I can't help but think that if it's STILL a boy, the gender disappointment will be even worse and maybe I should just leave it 100% up to fate. But then, will I always wonder if I could have had my girl with a little more patience and better timing?

We only have one baby but I timed it for a girl. DTD Sunday & ovulated early Tuesday morning.

DTD 2 days before ovulating

Timing worked for us an we got our son. We also used the Chinese calendar because it had been right for our girls as well. We figured it couldn't hurt. Trying to use it again to get our bubby a brother.

. This I one of only 2 months this year that it says BOY so even though we are supposed to wait 2 cycles (MC in jan) we are not preventing anyway. Hope it doesn't bite me in the butt but I just can't help it. The way I figure it if my body is ready and ovulates then how can a dr say its not and we should wait?

We had 2 boys and wanted to try for a girl . . . And we got one! I was fine with either gender, but we thought it would be nice to have a girl. These are the things we did. As a side note we don't have any problems getting pregnant, we got pregnant the first or second month we tried with all 3 so we were really trying to lower our fertility.

Husband wore briefs (real ones not boxer briefs)
He took a hot shower before we DTD
Really shallow deposit of sperm
We also took calcium, magnesium and I took folic acid.

I would say give it a try just try think you're pregnant with a boy then if you get a boy you won't be disappointed and if you get a girl you'll be super happy.

Chinese gender calender was wrong in 3 out of our 5 (we are team green this time so we will see) So not a huge believer in it. I think timing it close or far away from O (depending on desired outcome) is prob the best bet myself.
