Since it sounds like the diaper isn't fitting right Id suggest another style of diaper. I never really used pockets but had the issue you are describing with g diapers. I like AIOs with natural fibers personally, specifically the ones where the PUL has a cotton backing so if the insert bunches there is still an absorbent later. If you aren't into AIOs maybe try fastening a prefold or using a fitted.

Re: Leaking diapers!

Bamboo and microfibers hold a lot, but they absorb slowly and need pressure. It sounds like your baby is peeing faster than the diaper can absorb. I have this problem with pocket diapers, too.

I primarily use prefolds and covers. The cotton absorbs very quickly and readily without pressure. I typically change every 2-3 hours and the back half of the diaper is usually completely dry. I think prefolds perform better than inserts. I stuff the few pockets I own for DH to use with prefolds because I got tired of the leaks from the inserts.
