My Mood:
Re: Homeschooling ADHD children

My daughter who has never been diagnosed with anything could not handle writing 3 sentences at age 5. She had a hard time with one if it was her own thought and could handle around 2 if it was copy work. I expected too much of her right away and ended up changing language arts program last year (she is 6 now). We switched to Brave Writer and are using The Wand which suggests 3 minutes of writing at a time (this varies with children but was our starting point). If I noticed she was getting sloppy, we would stop and work again the next day.

I was on here last year asking about improving focus and I figured out after much reading that this is likely all normal.

Hope this Helps!
