Thanks everyone! Oh and I forgot to add that I got lucky on the "big baby" front. If they had really suspected him to be that big I would have never gotten a vaginal birth.

At 39 weeks a growth scan showed him at 8lbs even. They did another a week later at 40 weeks that Monday I cancelled the csection and that scan showed him at 9lbs 15oz. Since the two numbers were so off and it was unlikely he gained two lbs in a week they mentioned the possibility of him being big but didn't dwell on it nearly as much as I think they would have if the numbers weren't so contradictory. Obviously, the one at 39 weeks was wrong. Lol

Unfortunately he did suffer a slightly fractured collar bone due to his size

Congratulations! You are awesome! I continue to be amazed at the lengths some medical professionals will go to to "make you" do what they want. It's situations just like this that reaffirm why I quit nursing. Is it too much to ask that people be respected for their decisions about their bodies and their children? At any rate, I hope you both have a speedy recovery, enjoy that sweet "little" baby!
