Baby position...

Ok, I've had two other children. During pregnancy everything seemed pretty normal with where the baby was inside the womb. Now, I'm pregnant with our 3rd girl, and I'm comparing this pregnancy...naturally, to the last ones. This baby feels soooo low. I can feel movement barely above my pubic bone...like looking at myself I freak out realizing the outside of my lady parts is right there! !! Ahhhh I mean I feel like this baby is just going to fall out when it's time for birthing :/ Even the sonographer said wow...this baby is really low! Ok we know that....but can it be a problem/concern? Anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Baby position...

I'm 19 weeks I believe...I'll have to check the calendar! Anyway, I recall some more movement than what I've been feeling (baby #4). When I do feel movement, I too have been wondering why I've only felt is THAT low, exactly what you describe, I really don't recall this before. Granted, the uterus is still low, especially for early movements, but I've had this exact thought. My ultrasound isn't until Tuesday, but I'm curious as well!

Each of my pregnancies I have carried very low from the beginning. This one isn't any different! It has never been a problem for me other than it makes me have to pee all the time and I have hip issues. The baby and labor has been normal in the past.

Re: Baby position...

It's normal for babies to be that low that early As baby grows they will shift upward. All of this baby's movement has been very low and only in the past week have I started getting kicks around my belly button. I'm almost 24w now and the placenta is high and anterior so baby is positioned low.

Re: Baby position...

Ok, well everything sounds pretty normal then
I have another ultrasound tomorrow so I will be sure to ask a couple questions about position of the baby and the placenta while I'm there. Thanks!

Re: Baby position...

I'm 23 weeks and asked dr why baby is so low, she said baby is breech and her feet are what I feel so low. Her head is about where my ribs are. So maybe it's just the kicking legs you feel and baby isn't super low just positioned differently? Low isn't a concern from I've been told though! Don't worry mama, don't worry 😃

Re: Baby position...

This is my third baby and never have any of them "dropped". But I know what you mean with that feeling of them low. I can feel him kicking my bladder and then I can also feel him in the ribs. Every c section the second the baby is pulled out it's like my lungs can fully breath again and I always have like a giant reflesf feeling lol

Re: Baby position...

Everything was healthy with the baby. The specialist said that with each pregnancy they can feel lower..Hmmm anyway, the baby's head is just way low down there. No reason for concern I guess. Yay!!!

I feel like he's really low too. Just had my us and he's breech right now so it makes sense.
