Summer pregnancies stink

I know that it's August and we are almost done with summer and I am only 20 weeks, but I can't stand being pregnant right now. The heat is getting to me. It's only 81 here but I think it's hotter in the house. I am about to turn on the ac again after having it off for a week now. Somehow, I managed to be pregnant thru all summer the last time and I don't remember suffering so much. I guess it's because I am carrying two. I wouldn't wish this on anyone! Thankfully, my dh has been doing things and entertaining our ds so I can rest. The heat is going to be up to almost 90 by Wednesday, so I will be turning on the air then.

DS was born in July... and was 10 lbs... and I'm 5'2 with a short torso. I was HUGE. This is a breeze to me. I'm actually really looking forward to being big-pregnant in the cold weather

I live in the california desert. It has been relatively cool this summer and around 103 . I live in my ac. I just feel more tired than usual. I can't wait to be huge and wrapped in sweaters. I am in a tank top and soo hot I wish it was cooler.

I am feeling pretty good right now, but only because it has cooled off into the 80's this week after having 30 days of above 100.

Re: Summer pregnancies stink

well, this is our coldest month of the summer (I think our true summer in my particular "microclimate" of the bay area) is September/October. So while it will probably not even reach 70 today, I was thinking that I can't wait to be able to wear all my sweaters and what not as I'm outgrowing most of my warmer weather clothes and don't want to go buy any more. I'm in for the warmth in a month or so unless I get lucky and we skip summer all together.

Well I guess I'm in the minority b/c I'm sad that summer is leaving!! It's already only reaching highs of upper 70s here ! I would prefer it be really hot so I can take dd to the pool and bake in the sun! But I guess its different when I only get 2 1/2 months of nice, warm weather before I start feeling cold for the other 9 1/2 months! I hate Chicago weather!!!!

ah yes... I remember growing up having to choose our Halloween costumes SO carefully or else you'd burn up Trick-or-treating.
