I don't want to offend...

I usually don't do much bargaining on FSOT; either an item is worth the asking price to me, or it's not. At most, I'll sometimes ask for a couple bucks off if I buy multiple items, or ask. "Will you discount if I buy X, Y, & Z?" No problem.

But there's an item up now that I want. Like, bad. I've been waiting, & the seller just discounted it, not quite 10%. The number I've had in my mind, where I'd snap it up if I could get it for that price is asking for another almost 10% off.

I don't want to be the obnoxious lowball-offer-lady, but I'm also not savvy about bargaining on here. Is it a reasonable request or am I being cheap?

Let's say it was a carrier (It's not, but for the sake of argument). It retails for $100, seller originally wanted $90, discounted to $82, but you want it for $75; it's been listed for 2 weeks...fair offer or just plain jerky?

I almost always offer. The worst they can do is say no or ignore.

Just PM them and ask if they'd consider $75. It doesn't hurt to ask. They may come back with a counter offer.

Definitely ask. If you were to offer 50, that would be a bit offensive IMO, but your offer is only $7 less than they are asking.

Always ask for what you want. The worse that can happen is a big fat "no!", right? A lot of things may pass you by if you allow fear to get in the way.

Also, when I sell, I much prefer a PM with an offer. When someone posts an offer on the thread I feel like it puts me "on the spot".

I don't think that is an offensive offer. They may counter offer or just say no but I don't think they will be offended.

I would ask unless it says "prices firm" in the listing.
