Stinky armpits?

My 6 month old has the stinkiest armpits! It's a BO smell too (can only smell it if I lift up his arms, but still!). I washed under his arms with Dial antibacterial, after reading a thread here about an older (pre-pubescent) boy who had stinky pits, and it seemed to make it a bit better, but they still stink by the end of the day.

Any suggestions? I want my baby to smell as cute as he looks!

Hahah, how cute! I mean, Im sure its not cute to you, but I think the idea of a baby with stinky pits is just too funny.

I second the baby powder idea. Gemma gets really stinky in the wrinkles under her neck. Probably as a result of slobber, food and sweat all collecting under there. I clean it with wet wipes a few times a day, but it still has that lovely "cheesy" smell at times. I use baby powder or even a little lavender oil (diluted) to freshen it up a bit.

Yeah, back when DD used to have reflux really bad her neck-wrinkles would always smell so bad! She'd throw up 1,000,000 times everyday, so I mean, yeah it could get funky! A 'lil baby powder and frequent baths are good! We used to buy some scented 'sposie wipes (before I got cloth) and use those for a freshener between baths.

You might want to get him checked out. Baby's shouldn't have BO! He might have a problem breaking down amino acids during digestion.
