blisters on my son's foreskin

we just noticed yesterday a few tender blister like areas on my son's foreskin and testicles. he is nearly 2 & 1/2 yrs old and we have been very lazy about cleaning the area. we did go to the beach a few days ago and i thought that maybe sand or gnats (we're now in georgia) got in there and irritated him.
of course it hurts him when we fuss with it and we have been on alert now that we noticed it. i tried to look it up online but didn't really find anything.
any ideas?

Hmm... no idea. I would just make sure the area is clean and let him have lots of naked time. Might just be irritation from the sand and whatnot from the weekend. If it doesn't clear in a couple days with lots of airing out, I might consider taking him in. As long as the blisters aren't getting worse, or infected, etc. I'd assume they'll just clear up on their own. And definitely make sure you keep the area clean in the future. That way irritants are rinsed away.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Re: blisters on my son's foreskin

My younger son got something like this when he was about 2. Naked time was the only thing that made them go away. Fortunately it also helped him potty learn and by the time he was in underwear all the time, the blisters had gone away and haven't come back.

Hope that helps.

No clue but be glad you left him intact. If he didn't have his foreskin, the same irritation would probably be on his glans and potentially inside his penis.
