Re: Just got home from the hospital

Hoping for good news soon. I am SO SORRY about her pain and crying - even now, I still cry when Margo really cries.

Re: Just got home from the hospital

Oh mamas, it was horrible. Just the thought of it makes me want to cry. I swear I wanted to punch that nurse in the face. I'm usually a very passive person. I never try to argue or fight with anyone. I wanted to kill that nurse.

Could you believe that she stood there with a catheter in her hand poking Juliette in her vagina repeatedly. Not only poking, but moving the tube inside of her because she couldn't find the urethra. I got so mad I told that woman off and told her to find someone who knew what they were doing. And she's trying to tell me that Juliette isn't in pain. Uh yeah right. My daughter is there screaming bloody murder, a scream that I've never heard before. I grabbed her and took her from the nurse until she brought someone else to do it. Then they fill her bladder with this contrast stuff. OMG even worse screams. Poor babies bladder was so full and she couldn't pee. It was so sad.

I have decided that I'm done with testing though. Obviously it's not life threatening or a big deal if they keep rescheduling me and aren't in a rush to fix it. I already told DH that I'm going to leave it as is. If she's a year old and it's still oozing and open, then we'll talk about it again. But until then, no way is anyone touching her again. She's gone through so much already.

Good for you mama, for standing up for your daughter. It's so hard to know what to do and when to stand up ... and when to let the medical professionals work. You did absolutely the right thing, telling that nurse to get away from your daugher. Good for you!!!!!

I agree too ... if it were life threatening, they would NOT be rescheduling and pushing you aside.

(((hugs))))

You're so brave and courageous. Stay strong mama. And rock on!

omg. now im crying! some people seem to have no heart whatsoever. you are right, if it were life threatening or serious, there would be no rescheduling, and in fact it would all be done by now most likely. i hope you are she are able to recover. snuggle up.

Your poor baby!

What is about medical training that makes some nurses/docs blind to the obvious fact that a baby is in pain?!?!?!?
