Eyes glazing over! (aka How do I choose??)

My ds is almost 11 months old (22ish pounds if that matters) and we've been using FBs exclusively since day one. I'm just now beginning to think that there might be life outside of FBs. I think I want to try fitteds and wool. I'm almost done with his first pair of longies. But I'm overwhelmed with choices for fitteds!

My main complaint with FBs is that ds's skin is a bit damp everytime I change his diaper. This is a problem even though the insert isn't soaked. It doesn't matter if it's super stuffed or not. So, I want something absorbant.

Ideals:
  • Absorbant enough for my supersoaker overnight
  • Will keep his skin dry
  • I prefer to not have to endlessly stalk hyena
  • Plush (and will stay soft after a few months of use

Is this possible? I'm also open to using something different during the day and at night. I've read review after review and just can't pick! Spam welcome!

I really like Little Beetles Hemp Originals, very absorbant! Hemp is not the softest but you can put a fleece liner in to have something soft next to babies tush. www.betterforbabies.com Crickett's hemp fitteds are a bit softer. For night I like Very Baby Basic Nights and get mine from www.bluelakediapers.com. THese have a fleece lining.
