Re: Spelling her name?

I prefer Elyse. I like how it looks in cursive.

My birth certificate was corrected. There was a huge error and when I requested a duplicate I got the uncorrected version. That was annoying.

I always get called Diane. I will correct people over and over and they still revert to Diane.

I understand, though. My friend, Bethany, is always called Brittany. Like when people read my name "Rachael" and then write it "Rachel." ???

Melinda is more common here than Melissa, but they are both found here.
My auto correct would change Rachael to Rachel because that's how my daughter's name is spelled, and I probably wouldn't notice.

Elsie isn't common here right now, but it is a lot of older lady's name, and Elise isn't common here at all so I could see that mistake being made a lot.

I call you "Agla." DH looks at me funny and I have to say, "Well I don't know her real name!"

When I posted here before I thought to myself I should change my name to Agla legally. Lol!

I also get called Maria. I know I'm Hispanic but we really aren't all called Maria.

My dh refers to you all as "The Ladies."

This is good. I'm going to have to start doing this. It beats "my diaper moms" or "the moms on the diaper forum I belong to".

Re: Spelling her name?

Funny, this is actually the SAME case with my husband only it was never fixed. It hasn't caused any problems...yet. His Dad filled out paperwork wrong at the hospital when he was born. Anytime we've had to explain it to a bank, or employer they just ask which spelling he'd prefer. He mostly sticks with one spelling though. Some documents are still the other way. His name is Jonathan, but on Soc. card it'd spelled Johnathan. I jokingly call him John-Nathan sometimes. Best of luck!
