Re: Flat Fold Reviews (with pics)- Added more!

I loved my gerber flats. I could use them on my 16 month old doubled up with no problem. They are so stretchy that fit wasn't an issue. Plus they did the bikini twist perfectly. Another fold I used all the time.

Which version of the bikini twist are you doing? I know there are a few of them.

I really like the Rosie Posie fold, too, but I can barely get the wings around to Snappi on my 22 lb. 14-month-old. Not sure if I'm folding it wrong or what! I'm new to folding flats (usually just padfold) so I need some practice.

The Jo Fold and Bikini Twist look great and I'm going to try them today. Now to learn how to PIN - that's been a goal of mine!

My DD2 is 1.5 yrs old and 21 lbs and we have medium sized flats and cannot use a snappi w/ the RoPo but, pins work great. There isnt enough width to use a snappi IME and from what I have read. We can easily use a snappi w/ the Kite fold

The Ro po is not really made for a snappi IMO. The wings are just too narrow and too thin. THe snappi can dig in and make marks on their hip. I have been successful with my boingos though. The teeth are angled differently and they work more like pins to fasten narrow wings.

Maybe I'll try my hand at pins or boingos if I can get some. I really need to look up some pinning tips and tricks.

How do you get pins to work in your RB flats? I have such a hard time getting them to work for me. I keep my pins in soap, but it doesn't seem to help with the RB flats.
