Didn't realize that GD was so serious. My Mom made it sound like it was just a sugar thing, and the only side effects or problems associated with it were babies that (can) be larger. They tried to induce her a few weeks early, but she wouldn't do it. They kept saying her baby was 9 lbs., too big, etc. He ended up being only 9 lbs. at full term (due date) so clearly he wasn't 9 lbs. 4 weeks earlier!

Definitely will talk to them about it, as I want to make sure everything goes well and everyone is safe this pregnancy. With my last pregnancy I developed high blood pressure and some symptoms of pre-e towards the end, and I took that very seriously. So this time around, since I'm more likely to have them again, I want them to look/watch for anything they can.

Dani - Definitely get the support! I have the cradle I think it is, it goes around your lower back and then has a belly panel you velcro on front-back. The back support with it is AMAZING. Feels so good on my lower back. Makes my lower belly uncomfortable, but at least it is holding them up.

Pain in the butt yes, but if changing my diet and checking my sugar 4x's a day is what I have to do to keep my girls healthy and avoid complications, bring it on. With my pervious experience with it, it's really not that bad to adjust to and the extra protein (less sugar and carbs) is really good for a twin pregnancy anyway. I've found I can still even eat some fruit so long as I have enough protein to balance it out. Honestly, my whole family has eaten healthier since I went back on the GD diet. Like Gem mentioned, the potential complications and risks are scary and even though I hope to avoid medication (currently controlling mine with just diet right now) if it comes to that, I'll do whatever I have to. Plus, several of us have it or have had it so we'll be here to support you! AFM - Hangin in there. Can't believe I'm almost 32 weeks! Aside from the 25 minutes it takes me to get out of bed, having to pee 100x's a day, random sharp pains (lightning bolt style in the lady bits area are my favorite), fierce Braxton hicks, snap crackle pops every time I move, heartburn, etc I really can't complain too much. Ha! I just know it could be worse. The girls are healthy, I'm being well taken care of so...onward we go! I'll be super happy to see next Wed because I'll be done with my two classes (or at least have all the final work submitted) and the project I'm working on for my son's teacher will be done and gifted. Then I can really just focus on baby stuff and wait for the girls to arrive! Yay! We just have some washing to do, set up the co-sleeper, pack their hospital bag and we'll be all set! Looking forward to my next growth scan on Tuesday morning the 18th too. Hoping for 4lb+ babies!

Things are starting to get more uncomfortable for me though. They have found my csection scar on the inside and are touching it or pushing on it or something. It burns! I'm taking it easy today. I want to do things while I can because I can tell it won't be long and things will be hard. We are house sitting until the end of the month and as nice as it is, we aren't home to do the things that need to be done. So that's stressful. I wish I was as prepared as you!

Reading this makes me so glad not to be pregnant anymore! I do not envy you ladies! Hang in there!
