Both were pretty bulky, at least more so than the zorb inserts I normally use at night.

My 3 year old came in my room this morning telling me his diaper had leaked but his bed wasn't wet so it must have just felt pretty wet to him, and my 2 year old didn't even soak his all the way. I'd say it was a success and it's nice to know I could get by only using flats if I needed to.
Nighttime flats?!? Awesome! They've been working fantastically for us at night, too.

Yesterday and so far today we've been taking it easy with padfolded flats and origami-folded flats. His wool soaker is finally dry, so I'm looking forward to getting back to wool with him tonight.

I'm following you gala even though I'm out. Update on me we were having nursing issues and now I've got plugged ducts that I'm fairly certain will turn into mastitis. I've had it before and I can just feel it. So I've been going the easy route but I'm cheering you all on!

Haha That's funny...little did you know what you were starting, huh?

Mr. Man is in bed in a trusty imagine bamboo flat kitefolded with a small DR flat padfolded inside. Got his WB soaker on again now that it's finally dry.

AW!!! No fun, mama! Have you tried having the baby nurse in different positions to try to dislodge the blockage? I had a BAD plugged duct once that was just on the verge of turning into mastitis (fever, aches, etc.) and I had tried everything. But I was finally able to get rid of it by having the baby nurse with his body positioned so his chin was aimed at the blocked duct. Someone in my LLL suggested that. She said the baby's lower jaw is more forceful at getting the milk out?

Re: Another old skool challenge?

we went out for the first time in a while (it was 62 here and so we took advantage of my dh day off and went to the park!!) and i stuck with padfolded in flips!! first time i have gone out without packing pocket dipes, not much of a difference ease wise i guess but for me it just makes me control my urge to buy more pockets and save up for ore flats instead

We love our rbf's I find them more absorbent than our birdseye ones. I can't compare to the bamboo ones though, I haven't taken that plunge yet, I don't want to pay the shipping/duty I'm guessing that rbf's aren't as absorbent as the bamboo.

As long as I change every 2 hours or so, no leaks ever. And I don't add doublers unless we are out and about or something.

I'll admit my main attraction to the rbs is the cute factor. I don't have $20+ to spend on a single cute print fitted, so $2-3 each, or less with a sale, for a cute print rb satisfies that itch. I'd still use them if they were somewhat less absorbent than GMDs, but thankfully they are pretty comparible IMO

We are all sick with a tummy bug so we're just doing padfolded flats with newborn prefolds in the wetzone. I'm thankful for how easy they are to wash right now and I will be bleaching at the end of this sickness

^^^Yuck...I had that at Christmas. Hope y'all feel better soon.

I thought since today was laundry day, I'd snap a pic of all my receiving blanket flats. I have 26 currently in rotation, and another dozen I just pulled out because they are too thin or not 100% cotton. Those will be just changing mats or other non-bum uses. Anyway, here are the ones that made the cut:

Gotta love the cute factor
