Re: What kind of WAHM job do you have?

I make soap and lots of other fun stuff. It is not for the faint at heart. Its a lot of work and a lot of mess which means more work lol. This time last year, I would have said it wasn't worth it. This year has been amazing though...I imagine its like that for a lot of business owners.

Re: What kind of WAHM job do you have?

I'd really love to work from home but I worry that with the kids I'd never get anything done. Its partly that I fear I lack the necessary discipline And partly that I don't know what to do or where to start

Re: What kind of WAHM job do you have?

I have been a freelance journalist for many years. About 5 years ago I started making diapers and mama cloth pads. For several years I was both writing and sewing but for the moment I am just sewing. I do most of my work while the kids are at school.

Re: What kind of WAHM job do you have?

I am trying to be a WAHM, I've been looking at several options. I don't have the money to spend to be crafty but I have a degree in English and have a talent for writing. I would love to tutor or freelance but I feel completely lost. I feel like starting is the hardest part. Anyone else feel this way?

There's Fiverr ($5 services) & Odesk for online writing as well as other skills you can offer your clients. There's Wyzant for personal tutors. I've done Wyzant in the past teaching Japanese to a local student.

I'm a Virtual Assistant/Copywriter, and I started out on sites like Elance and ODesk, but found my current (and hopefully only!) job through HireMyMom. I've actually found all of my long-term clients there. You would need to compile some writing samples, etc., but that's where I would start

Re: What kind of WAHM job do you have?

I teach classes to homeschool students and love it. It's during the days so I don't really miss out on dh time and kids get to be involved since its usually from my home. I teach ASL but really you could teach anything you really knowledgeable in. Most larger towns/cities have huge homeschool communities in my experience.
