Close and Secure co-sleeper...do I need one?

So...with my dd, we had her bassinet and the crib in our room until about 10 months. She often would sleep beside me, but my husband was nervous of rolling onto her, so we tried to just have her in her crib beside us.

I am due with my ds in a few weeks, and I've seen a product called the "Close and Secure co-sleeper" by safety first. Does anyone have one? Is it worth having? Does it make co-sleeping safer?

Thanks

Re: Close and Secure co-sleeper...do I need one?

With my first son it was a God send...we used it until he was about 4 months old.
With my second son, we used it about 1 week and I sold it! lol..
I had lots of nursing issues with #1 so he was mainly bottle fed and he STTN by 12 weeks.
But with #2 he nurses for comfort as well and won't take pacifier, so I was always getting him in and out of it. It was just easier to keep him nestled against me, plus he prefers that.

It's one of those 'you never know' type of things. I would look for a used one, maybe from Ebay or check FSOT here. That way you don't have as much invested just in case!
