I'm just getting better with practice!
I roll the front rise excess in, pull one wing all the way over tight, pull the front panel and pin, then I grab the other wing and the knee of the wing I already pinned and get it nice and tight, then I do the second pin. Then I check the jelly roll and roll down the extra back rise, if there is any.

I am new to flats, and this is my first day pinning any diaper ever but I just wanted to share. Here is my first attempt at the side-pinned flat fold:







I need a bit more practice to get the legs snugger, but it went on very easy! He loved going coverless in his flats (something I wasn't comfortable doing with a snappi) -so trim and free! Thanks Janine!
