We leave toys at the change table that stay at the change table. When he was little it was a bug that when it was moved it would start vibrating, then it was a sun that would change colors and sing songs now its a toy with different buttons that sings and lights up.

He gets excited to play with his toy and I can clean him up without any issue. It works great for us.

I just started doing this as my son will not stay still and its a nightmare changing him - even my husband has trouble. My husband will hold him at his hips but I can't do it and change him.
