What to put 'in' a prefold?

So, I just got a snappi and two pins in the mail and I'm going to attempt to get a prefold on DS's bum today for the first time. My question is:

are they ok just like they are or do you have to add extra absorbancy? I have premium indian cotton prefolds.

I don't put anything in it except maybe at night I put a doubler but during the day just a PF

i have some doublers i got from sunflower derrieres i put in every once in a while but normally its just the prefold

Just the prefold should work great for daytime!

I use just the prefold too!

I just use a prefold too, except for night time diapering, that's a whole other story in itself LOL

We use cotton fleece doublers in all our dipes for our heavy-wetters.

I just go prefold only. If I want extra absorbancy, I'll double prefold and go without a cover. That gets pretty bulky though!
