Has anyone heard this? Was it true for your kids?
My DD walked at 14 months and dropped to one nap consistently around that time too.
I have a feeling DS is going to be an early walker - he was crawling just shy of 7 months and is cruising on anything he can pull up on now at 8 months. He is also starting to really resist that early nap.

Yes! DS also started skipping one nap at around the same time he started walking. But it turned out to be great because he put himself on one consistent schedule- he started taking naps at 1 and staying asleep till 4, then going to bed at 8. It works for me! I can get a lot done in 3 hours!
But... he was 11 months when he started walking.

DS started walking at 11 months and didn't drop his morning nap until several months later.

DD started walking at 10.5 mths. She dropped to 1 nap (most days) at 13.5 mths. She went completely to one nap at 15 mths.

DS also started walking at 10.5 mths. He is in the process of dropping a nap (he's 13 mths old today). He takes 2 naps for 2 days, then 1 nap on the third (lather, rinse, repeat

) Occasionally, he'll have only 1 nap/day for 2 days in a row, but that is rare. I suspect that he'll drop to one nap (most days) in another month or so and completely drop the nap around 15-16 mths.

DS1 walked at 13.5 months, dropped to 1 nap at 20 months.
DS2 walked at 16 months on the dot, dropped to 1 nap at 25 months. The morning was just an hour by 22 months.

Not true at all for my girls. DD1 dropped to 1 nap at 13mos and walked at 18mos. DD2 dropped the morning nap at 11ish mos(although i did push somewhat for it) and walked at 18.5mos

Ethan started walking at 12 months 6 days :-) He dropped the 2nd nap around then. He wakes up at 9-10 takes a nap from 1-2 till 3-4 and goes to bed around 10.

my DD cut out 2 naps way back when she was 6m old, not even crawling yet. she gets 1 nap a day whether it lasts 15 min or 2 hours.
