Re: Share your Bento Boxes!

I've been scouring the internet trying to decide what items to get. My daughter is 3 and has lunch at pre school. I think this looks like a great solution for her. With all the food on equal footing(instead of sep. containers) I think she will eat more. The items are so cute.

Check out how cute the eggs are!

I am going to buy a few more items (silicone cupcake liners cute food picks -the ones I have are too short for mini fruit kabobs- and soy sauce containers as well as a few cute cookie cutters).

I need to check the Asian markets for medium grain rice since all we eat is regular jasmine rice and those aren't good for rice balls or rice molds.

those look great how do the egg molds work?

I know that when I lived in Japan, eggs were almost always quail eggs and not chicken so you might be right!

I use quail eggs often esp in bentos. I wish I could get my hands on quail egg molds they are so tiny!

We got ours two or three months ago (recommended by someone in the Green Families forum). I am very excited to use it for school b/c it is roomy enough to add a thermos. My kids often take dinner leftovers or soups and they like them heated. The laptop lunch boxes didn't offer the "warm" food option. In the Easy Lunch Box, there is a 3-section container for the typical lunch box fare and then when placed in the actual cooler bag, there is room enough for a Thermos, water bottle, and ice pack (a waste free lunch). I'm lovin' it!

Oh, and it's more affordable than the Laptop lunch box system.
Ziploc makes a container that looks just like that, they call it a divided rectangle, and we've found them at Target. They cost $2.44 for two of them and they work great. I bought lunch boxes from Lands' End and I can fit them in there easily with a Thermos for their milk.
