what to do w/ lots of peaches going bad?

I bought a bag of peaches on Thursday and they immediately started going soft. So at this point I have 1/2 a bag of mostly soft & turning brown peaches. What can I do with them besides pies (I don't make pies )

I hope to freeze but my g'mom said you can't freeze peaches so...gimme some simple & quick & preferable either preservable (freezable) or giftable recipes.

Make some quick and easy freezer jam. I just got a whole peck of peaches at the farmers market and made peach jam and peach/pomegranate/blueberry jam. The 2nd was my fave, absolutely awesome, and i literally spent less than an hour.

Eat a lot of peaches really fast! I love making peach cobbler....it's much easier than a pie. Peach jam. You could make a crock pot meal with chicken on the bone and peaches (I've made something like that with apricots). Peach salsa. Peach smoothies. And I'm pretty sure that you CAN freeze peaches.....maybe google it. If it were me though, I'd just eat a lot of peaches!!

for smoothies and ice cream and compote

You can totally freeze peaches. I prefer them canned, but freezing is faster.

i always freeze mine! you can buy already frozen peaches too so i have no problem putting mine in the freezer!

Yup. Frozen peaches are perfect for smoothies. Defrost them for most everything else.

my grandmom said they'll "get all brown", which I don't care as long as they taste ok...

I'll start working on them tonight...time is a'runnin' out.
