What weird stuff have you found while helping your kids clean their rooms?

YES! What is with the turkey basters? I suppose it's my fault for putting it in a drawer that's accessible....

I can't even count on my hands how many times I've found cemented string cheese in my house. It used to be the one thing I'd let her wander around with but after finding about four in a row scattered miscellanous places in the house I put an end to that.

In her room I have found:

a raisin that was a grape at one point
an egg beater
a boot that I thought had been packed away for over a year
5 combs (I kept replacing them because I had no idea where they were disappearing to...turns out, they were in the microwave in her play kitchen )
and THIS horrific scene

The last time I cleaned DD's room I found a dried up dead lizard and a moldy sandwich in a plastic bag (thank goodness it was in a bag!).

DD is too young but when I was little my mom would make me hard boiled eggs and since I hated the yolk, I would hide them all around my room. She found them a year later.

Trash, paper plates ("frisbees"), petrified cheese and lots of cheese wrappers, cat whiskers, deceased pill bugs, a used diaper (YUCK, and why????), dirty/skid-marked panties (another yuck). That's just off of the top of my head!

Remember several years back when McD's had the fake mcnuggets with the halloween costumes? I found a bunch of those with real petrified mcnuggets in them.

My DD likes to put random things into water bottles. The grossest one was when she put a polly pocket outfit into one and managed to hide it for a month. It was a goopy pink watery substance.
My DS1 is always hiding DH's tools. If DH is looking for a tool, he knows to go ask DS1 for it.

Mostly old nasty food (toast, apple cores, old bottles/sippies)
random utensils from the kitchen (DS always likes to steal my tongs!)
