my brother thinks my baby is "breathtaking" (if you know seinfeld, you know that breathtaking does not mean cute)! he calls her shreck. you can tell when he is kidding, and hes not =( it really makes me feel bad that he thinks this. i know shes beautiful, and i dont think its b/c im her mom, i really think she is! even if she was not cute or turns into a not so cute kid, shouldnt family be blind to that and think shes gorgeous anyway, or at least not tell the mom that they arent?

That is very mean spirited of him to say that. Maybe you should tell him stop. Just say something like, "Hey, Joe, that's not right."

I'm sure your baby is gorgeous!!

(And yes, families are supposed to over look those things. Plus, family or not, no one should be saying that to a new mom, or any mom.)

thanks =) like i said, i think shes just perfect! beautiful blue eyes, long curly lashes, and a beautiful little face... i told him that babies can understand things you say (which i think they can), and thats gonna hurt her. he didnt care. even if she turns out not so cute, i will always call her "my beauty" i grew up being told i wasnt so good looking, it hurt, still does, and i would NEVER want my baby to feel that way! im big and i know thts not a pretty trait, but even if she becomes 500 lbs, she willalways be gorgeous! and i just dont know why he would say that about her =(

here is my beauty. she can make goofy faces but shes still a young baby and you know how they are floppy and practice with facial expressions...

She's very cute!!! I'm so sorry your brother is being a meanie. I'd kick my brother's butt if he said any of my kids were anything less than absolutely adorable! Remind him that your kids share 25% of his genetic material (if he's your full biological brother).
