Re: Boy Name Help!

OK, one of my favourites is Benen, it's an ancient Welsh name. I think it's fun and unique, very masculine, and has some good nick-name possibilities. I'd use it myself, but with a Bryan it might get confusing!

In the Bible, it's spelled Enoch. There are all kinds of great names in there. I wanted to name my third ds Israel, but dh wouldn't go for it since we already had Isaiah.

Re: Boy Name Help!

Well my boys are Kearnan and Tharen. We have met one other Kearnan (though I understand it is more popular in Ireland) but no other Tharens. My daughter's name was Arawyn which is actually the name of the Welsh king of Fairy. My children have all named themselves, but here are some names that I had considered but didn't use because other names came to me.

Liethan (means of the vikings)
Adair (oak grove)
Galen
And I love the name Damien, but it is a bit to common for me.
I used to baby sit a little boy named Tad'gh (pronounced TIge)

And the Japanese names I would love to use but dh won't let me
Kenshin
Setsuna
Inuyasha

(Yes I do know that they are all anime character's names, but I am obsessed with anime so I am ok with that.)

Re: Boy Name Help!

My youngest son's name is Ewan pronounced (you-un). We love it and everyone seems to think it is pretty unusual. My boys are Collin Jamison, Aidan Christopher, and Ewan Gabriel. There are lots of uncommon names in the bible and some baby name books have sections including popular names from other countries. Those have always helped me.
