Bumping for a great idea! I don't have any extra milk at the moment, but I think it's a wonderful cause, and when I have some extra, I'll definitely be donating.

Ladies, it IS sad that a few women spoiled this whole thing. We were running into various issues and had no way to help mama's solve them. Rather it was the worry being expressed over disease in the milk,fighting over who actually owned the pump, woman who were selling the milk as their own or women who simply weren't paying those who donated back for shipping as agreed upon, there was a lot behind the scene that forced this change.

It was NOT something we all were happy about and while I hate to say it and refuse to out anyone over this, the change went into place after the final straw was broken... interestingly enough, by a mama in this very thread.

We were fine with it going off site and we DO support those who choose to donate and use donated milk but doing it through this site was creating extra work for the team since everytime/anytime there was an issue we were expected to "fix it".

I really am sorry mama's but I hope by clarifying where we came from on this you can better understand why the choice was made.

I haven't read this thread but when I was nursing DD, I had a ton of Milk, and a friend who works at the birth center hooked me up with a Momma and her newbie who needed some help. They came to our house once a week and picked up their milk. I pumped for them for about 6 months. It was awesome.

I just joined the facebook group "Eats on Feets~Oregon" (I plan to donate after this babe is born supposing my supply is good again.)

I'm sure it's already been mentioned on here, but didn't want it to be missed.

I wish I had enough milk to doante...but being a WOHM and nursing FT when I am with him and pumping at work I can barely pump enough for my son.....I take my hats off to those of you who can get enough. Maybe I just have a poor milk making skills
