Well I discussed it with DH and he was much more open to the whole thing than I ever thought. Didn't bat an eye even.

So posted my request on EOF. There seem to be moms in my area willing to donate that SEEM not to have donars yet.....

Found a donor through EOF! She messaged me and is willing to pump for us!!!! Yay! She says she will have milk for us by Friday! Soon my baby will be EBF!

I'm so glad that your DH is so supportive. I was telling my DH about it tonight and he immediately said, "oh no way would I feel Faye a stranger's milk.... well... actually, I guess it isn't any different than a blood transfusion. I'd do that if she needed it. Yeah, I guess it'd be okay."

This was all in about 30 seconds.

Hooray for Logan getting the good stuff.

LOL thanks for sharing his insights. I may need to use that argument with certain people if they find out, I know I won't hear the end of it once MIL finds out. I have to admit I feel silly for doubting my DH. I shoulda had faith and spoke up sooner. My sis will pump for us also once she has the baby, so Logan will be swimming in milk, lol.

We also use a donor I found through eof. I trust her but I still pasteurize it for hubbys peace of mind. We havent told anyone about it.....I would never hear the end of it!

Donor milk is how my 9 month old is thriving! She's been on donated milk since birth. I have a low supply due to breast reduction surgery. All of Cecilia's milk is through an SNS, so she keeps my supply up.

One of the best benefits, beyond a fabulous nursing relationship, has been immunity. All that mama milk has made Cecilia a strong, strong baby and she is never sick!

awesome!! DDC crashing and glad you are doing it! WHO recommends first- breast milk from the mom, second- mom's breast milk from a finger feeder (or bottle or whatever), third- someone else's breast milk....4th and last resort- formula. I wish we had eats on feets and the internet when my teens were babies, I had an oversupply!
