Ok smoothie drinkers

I want to make a Kale smoothie. I can use almond milk. I can't do the usual fruits that sweeten it naturally like banana. Maybe berries?

Suggestions on what else to throw in it?

Can't do peanut butter but I do have soy butter.

Re: Ok smoothie drinkers

I have an organic frozen premix that has mixed berries and kale. Usually I add a bunch of extra kale or spinach. It says you can just add water but I like to use yogurt and or kefir as well. I also like molasses as a sweetener. I started using it during my pregnancy for iron and I like the way it mixes with the berries.

Kale is gross. I can't handle much of it in my smoothie because it ruins it.

I like to do--frozen fruit (any kind, or mixed, or whatever. I love fruit!)
Spinach
Yogurt
A wee bit of orange juice

I'm sure that doesn't help you at all!

Honey or grapes make a good sweetener.

ETA: When I use kale in a smoothie I tend to go tropical like raspberries, pineapple, peaches...that sort of thing. The tartness overpowers the bitter kale.
