Re: Homemade Thread
Around here I take 2 c water, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp. maple flavor. Mix together and boil until thick enough for you. We eat it thin as we don't have time to wait. But another fav is 1/2 c butter, 1/4 c honey and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. Mix together and heat until well combined, then pour over pancakes. YUMMO!

Re: Homemade Thread
Love these ideas! I'm definitely going to use the dried onion soup mix for roasts in the crock pot.
Here's another granola bar recipe using dried fruit (dates, apricots, cranberries). It also give ideas on how to create your own granola bar recipe. http://www.goodlifeeats.com/2011/01/...nola-bars.html I love homemade bagels! They taste so fresh. Here's the recipe I used: http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/bake...bagels-684421/ We also love chinese food at my house, so here's some homemade versions of Wonton Soup and Lo Mein with Beef. You can make extra wontons and freeze them! http://www.recipegirl.com/2007/04/20/wonton-soup/ http://kitchenscoop.com/recipes/beef...ccoli-lo-mein/ |

Re: Homemade Thread
I know someone else posted about instant oatmeal. I LOVE my recipe. It's so fast and easy!
1 lg canister of quick oats 1 lg canister of slow cook oats (old fashioned) 1/8 cup cinnamon, or to taste Get a LARGE bowl and mix the above. Take out about 1-1.5 cups and blend in food processor until powder like. use snack size ziplocs (I resuse mine because I eat this all the time!) put 3/4 cup of oats and cinnamon mix in add 1/8 cup blended mix Makes a lot, like 25 bags? You could adjust the amount inside. This makes a nice big bowl for me! Add hot water (1 cup or so- I like mine thick) to the consistency you like. I also add brown sugar and walnuts. We have a keurig so I just use the small cup portion and it comes out perfectly hot! I love it because it's so fast, and easy and CHEAP! |

So we tried the gummi candies. We had to improvise and use an ice cube tray as we had no molds and other than adding too much water (oops!) they turned out good!

Re: Homemade Thread
here is a really easy and wonderful pizza dough recipe i tried this week. I didn't separate and roll out the dough like it suggested. I just split it into 2 dough balls and froze each in a ziplock. we took one out let it thaw for 30 minutes or so, rolled it out then baked it it was great and so easy!!!
