Good! I wonder if making your own organic butter would be cheaper? It seems like organic anything is expensive but it might save a few dollars. I really want to try to make my own butter, the recipe I posted seems almost too easy lol

Yes! All kinds of beer will work. We've used several different kinds, usually whatever my husband has picked up for the week

I found some other ones while reading through a blog that I really like - the one with the spreadable butter.

Here is a recipe for "Maple" Syrup and here is another one for dry onion soup mix.

I would think that it would be the fridge life of the actual butter, maybe a little less, but if you are like our family, we go through one in less than a month.
I definitely need to make that because I keep reading terrible things about margarine. Since we are almost out of spreadable butter, its going to be made tomorrow. I bet it would be easy to put some kind of herbs in it to make like a rosemary bread spread, etc.

I will look for a granola mix recipe. I am enjoying searching for recipes!
