Re: Birth weight vs coming home weight?
I had a 39 weeker, then a 31 weeker, then a 37 weeker. I will only put the 31 weeker's info because I consider the other 2 to be term.
She was born at 31 weeks and weighed 3 lbs 14 oz. She went home after 22 days (so 34 weeks corrected) and weighed just under 2 kilos, I think like 4 lbs and 2 oz.

Re: Birth weight vs coming home weight?
David was born at 28 weeks 5 days, weighed 2 pounds 15 oz at birth, just hit the 5lb mark when he came home, 36 weeks gest was when he went home.
Next to us there were twins, it was a twin to twin transfusion, So one was born at aprox 5 pounds and the other at 3 pounds. The bigger baby didnt have nicu time, the smaller one went home UNDER 4 pounds....But she was breathing on her own, and eating well.... Its weird to see such a difference....Davids critia to go home was regulating his temp, feeding well, and breathing well... Your dr and nurses should give you a good idea when it gets closer. once we hit 32 weeks my dr said "home at 36 weeks" At 35 weeks he was still saying that, but David was still not feeding, and still having "episodes" But that last week everything went quickly and he went home the day before he turned 36 weeks... *HUGS* How is he today? How are you?

Re: Birth weight vs coming home weight?
My 35 weeker was 7 lbs even and came home 3 days later with me (no NICU) at 6 lbs something oz..
My 34 weeker was born at 5 lbs 9 ozs and came home after 3 days in NICU slightly under her birthweight. My 32 weeker (32w1d) was born at 4 lbs 2 ozs and came home at 6 lbs 8 ozs after 36 days in NICU (37 weeks gestational age). My 31 weeker (31w6d) was born at 3 lbs 7 ozs and came home at 7 lbs 8 ozs after 60 days in NICU (3 days after his due date, so 40 weeks gestational age).
