The 2011 Recommended Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedules were approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the American Academy of Family Physicians and are now available below.

Circumcision is a surgical procedure in which the skin covering the end of the penis is removed. Scientific studies show some medical benefits of circumcision. How*ever, these benefits are not sufficient for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to recommend that all infant boys be circumcised. Parents may want their sons circumcised for religious, social, or cultural reasons.
Because circumcision is not essential to a child's health, parents should choose what is best for their child...

Lower risk of infections, UTI's, STD's, phimosis, paraphimosis, skin conditions and penile/prostate cancer. For their partners, a lower risk of cervical cancer at a minimum.

I'm sorry but there is no substantial medical studies to back this up and the little benefit that it could offer, in theory, does not justify routine infant circumcision.
