Re: First babies.. early, on time, or late??
My two brothers and I were all born on our due date! So crazy.
Anywho, my little on was earlllly. 37 weeks 3 days, but he was 8lbs 7 oz... my body knew it was time to go. I also know my dates weren't off. Thank God I didn't go full term. That would have been a bigggg baby!

My DS was born at 38 weeks. I had had my 38 week appointment the day before and she accidentally punctured my water when she sweeped me, so the next morning I had thought my water had broken but they admitted me anyway and he was born 12 hours later!

Re: First babies.. early, on time, or late??
Z was induced at 38w2d after being in overnight for "observation".
N was born 40w4d. I'm currently 39w1d with #3, and no signs of labor on it's way.

Re: First babies.. early, on time, or late??
My first baby was born at 42 weeks. They had to induce me and she still wasn't budging!
![]() After 8 hours of Pitocin, I finally had my first contraction of labor. They were freaking out because she had almost no water and late term babies can be stillborn. She was fine though with LONG nails, lots of hair, and an awesome breastfeeder!

41 weeks exactly... But his EDD was adjusted. My midwife and I think that he came more at 40 weeks.

43w1d (DD was born with no problems or anything)
For this next baby I am hoping for something a little sooner though lol. BTW, interesting fact: your pregnancy and labor can take after your MIL's, no joke! It can be in the baby's genes (part of what triggers labor to begin are signals from the mother's body and signals from the baby's). My mom gave birth to all her four babies right on due date or slightly early or late. My MIL was three weeks late for all five of hers. Guess whom I took after with my first baby? Yay lol.

Re: First babies.. early, on time, or late??
Child 1: emergency induction at 37wks& 4 days
Child 2: Spontaneous (but accupressure coached): 38 wks & 5 days Child 3: Spontaneous at 39wks 1 day I am sure you don't want to hear this - but... they are all different and there is NO way of knowing when your baby will be born - the due date is actually "Estimated Due Date" (EDD), and even if this one is born early, on time or late, if you are blessed with more they may not all follow the same pattern. Try and be patient, they are well worth the wait! I know it is the hardest thing in the world to wait for!
