With my last two I went into labor with no signs at all. No pressure, water breaking, no mucous plug, bloody show, gastrointestinal stuff, nothing. As far as I know I wasn't even effaced/dilated. They both started with regular, painful contractions and ended less than 3 hours later with a baby. I never even had bloody show or mucous during labor. Water didn't break either time until transition with one, crowning with the other.

Of course, this means that I don't have the fun labor signs to obsess over! I would love to have a bit of mucous plug to get excited over.

I had one tinge of a menstrual cramp one evening, and the next morning my water broke, and regular contractions started within hours of that. I had no signs or symptoms prior to that!

I was stripped yesterday morning and nothing... I think DD is going to have my stubborn German blood in her

I was so excited to meet her today..

I didn't but my aunt did. Her first baby was water breaking at 35 weeks. She was worried with #2 that she wouldn't know. Everyone assured her she would know she was in labor, haha she didn't! She felt off and had a bad backache but no countable/regular pains. She had a Dr appt for like 4pm or something like that..after work. She moved it upto noon. She went in and they said don't move, don't push, keep your legs closed..she was 7cm. She had my cousin 1 1/2 hrs if that later.

She says she felt fine the day before and just felt off that am. She was like 39 weeks 2 days I think when she had #2.

It has to be hard to wait.

Awe I'm loving this thread... I'm 39 weeks and the wait is driving me crazy. With my first I had a planned induction... And I really disliked it except I could count the days till I would see my baby. But this time im constantly worried about it. But I got checked at 37 weeks barely a 2 and still very high. Checked again at 39 weeks and nothing new! Still exactly the same!

I was thinking maybe I would be more thinned out or something... So it give me a little hope hearing that lots of mamas go outta no where!
