If you had your membranes stripped?
So I had my membranes stripped today I'm 40.1 and usually I have lots of bh and today I've had like none! No bleeding, cramping, or anything! I'm praying I go into labor before Monday because we scheduled an induction for next Monday when im 41 weeks because I only get six weeks for maternity leave and I really want to spend that little bit of time with my baby and not waiting for one...
Anywho did getting your membranes stripped work for you? And how did you feel afterwards? I'm sure it doesn't mean anything but I just thought if I was spotting or cramping or something it would mean it worked lol... Silly! |

Re: If you had your membranes stripped?
My water broke the night that mine were stripped. I also went for a long walk, dtd, and ate spicy food after they were stripped. It was the day before my due date and my DD came the next day (on her due date).

Re: If you had your membranes stripped?
Nothing happened after they stripped mine except some bleeding and some contractions, but I was also put on bedrest for blood pressure at the same time, so THAT didn't help thins along. (I was 1 week early; they "induced" <broke my water> me the next day and she came just fine)

Re: If you had your membranes stripped?
I hope LO comes out for you soon! I'm here in the waiting game too (due date is tomorrow) and I've actually felt cramping..like menstrual cramps a few times(this is a first for me). I can't say I know why because I just gave up trying to persuade her and now that I really have everything ready(labor bag, baby room, etc.) I pretty much didn't think about the baby as much as I have.. I think just relaxing might help and trusting that things will work out the way they should.

Re: If you had your membranes stripped?
I had mine stripped at 38+2, due to some high bp issues and my dr wanting to help me along. I was already dilated to 3-4, though. Anyhow, I had maybe an hr of light spotting, then some sporadic contractions. By this time, it was mid-afternoon. By that evening, approximately 10hrs after the stripping, I was in full blown labor and DD was born the next morning.
