If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
When did you have your baby?
Just curious...I've been measuring at least 4 cm ahead in fundal height since my 20 weeks appointment and I never measured "big" with either of my other kiddos, right on track with each pregnancy. I had the same symptoms and gained the same amount of weight with each one (starting out at the same pre-preg weight each time).

I measured 3 weeks ahead with my first and pretty much on track with the oter two. All were born between 37w4d and 38w even. DD was 7lbs 13oz, DS1 was 7lbs 14oz and DS2 was 8lbs 9oz.

Re: If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
With DS1 I measured about a month ahead. They induced me at 38 weeks and he was 9 pounds.
With DS2 I measured only a week or two ahead. They kept telling me he'd be smaller than his brother since I wasn't as big. They induced me at 39 weeks and he was 9 lbs. 11 oz. For me personally, all measuring ahead means is that I'm having a bigger-sized baby.

Re: If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
Wow, my brother was almost 10 lbs at 38 weeks too!
My babies were 6lbs 7oz at 37 weeks and 6 lbs 12 oz at 38 weeks. the nurses/doctors said they both would have been around 8 lbs at full term (they were both induced)

Re: If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
Measured 1-2 weeks ahead with baby#1 and she arrived at 40+2
Measured 2 weeks ahead with baby#2 and she was induced at 38+6 Measured right on and even sometimes a week behind with baby#3 and he was induced at 40+2 Measured 4 weeks ahead from 17 weeks on and he arrived at 40 weeks exactly and he was my biggest baby Like someone else said, measuring ahead for me just means baby is bigger but not coming early.

Re: If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
I measured "on time" with dd1, she arrived on her due date and was 8lbs 12oz and 20" I was 3cm dialated and 75% effaced for the last 10 days.
With dd2 I measured large the entire time. I was significantly showing at 13wks and measuring in at 16wks so my mw sent me for an ultrasound to check dates and the baby etc. She ended up arriving 11 days after my first due date or 5 days after my second due date, she was 9lbs 12oz and 22" and I was 4cm dialated the last 3wks and 90% effaced too. |

I measured 2-3 weeks ahead with my DS from 20 weeks on. I had two measurement u/s after that and they were right on. I was induced at 39 weeks for pre-e and he was 8lbs 7oz. Measured dead on with DD, also induced at 39 weeks...she was 8lbs 7oz.
The difference was my DS was 4 full inches longer, so he stretched my uterus out farther.

Re: If you measured ahead (uterus) during pregnancy...
I measured 2 to 4 weeks ahead from 24 weeks on. I had my daughter at 37 weeks, 5 days and I was still measuring about 2 weeks ahead at that point. This pregnancy I have been right on with measurements and I am still pregnant at 39 weeks and 4 days.
