favorite labor clothing?
we're planning a water birth for this one, and i'm trying to find labor clothing that will be comfy and breesy, considering it will be Sept and likely warm! particurarly i'm looking for a birthing skirt and just finding a swimsuit top, but i can't find any good skirts that seem not-too-dressy and comfy!! where have you found any? in stores? on line only?

http://www.birthinbinsi.com/index.htm - they sell birthing skirts that look pretty comfortable!
We aren't doing a water birth, so I'm just wearing a nightgown thing I found on clearance at The Gap. It has spaghetti straps and thin material, so it looks nice and cool... and it's a bit big in the chest, for easy breastfeeding immediately after delivery.

Re: favorite labor clothing?
I wore a cami with self-bra, a tanktop and yoga paints. I didn't have the option of a water birth, but I had bought a black sports bra that opened in the back (like a trad. bra) that I had intended to wear in water.
Check out landsend.com for swim skirts. there kind of pricey but there's lots of options. |

Re: favorite labor clothing?
I used this tute for my birth skirt
http://mommysblessings.blogspot.com/...ing-skirt.html I ended up freezing in labor though and ended up wearing a long sleeved shirt and fleece pants until I got in the birth pool and then just wore a sports bra

Re: favorite labor clothing?
I wore my birthday suit for all 3 labors. The fit was fantastic, since it's custom made just for me, and it was VERY comfortable.
The best part is that I could wash it and there were no permanent stains from the birth. Oh, and it's 100% reusable! Not to mention.... it looks dang good on me!

![]() I wore a tankini bathing suit top and just a regular maternity skirt. When I got in the birth pool I just took off the skirt.
