Why are Softbums so special?

Lately I have noticed that everyone loves Softbums - why? What is with their 'pods'? Maybe I will find another obsession...

I detest them! That toggle thing is a death trap and leaves marks. The cover always gets soiled which defeats the purpose of an AI2 and they are made (shells) from a non-breathable product. Not to mention the ridiculous price tag.

I like them ok but the aplix doesn't last and the laundry tabs do not work after a while and they are expensive.

I love the OBV Pods, but as for the shells, eh, not worth the heavy price tag. I bought of couple FSOT, and I like them fine, and they are very trim, but I treat them as pockets, because they are only good for one use. I think it's pretty stupid that they are lined with fleece, especially the Echos. Really, what is the point of that?

I use the OBV Pods, though inside Flips, Thirsties, some WAHM covers and I LOVE them!! So soft and very absorbent, and they help with DD's heat rash issues quite a bit. I only even use the Echos because I can snap in the pods, which is nice, though not necessary.

I actually have had really good luck with the Softbums. They're trim, the inserts are super absorbant, and I actually like the velcro tabs. We haven't had any problems with ours.

I think they SUCK, they always leak....

They were horrible for us, although I really like the toggle idea...wish there were some other good OS diapers without a snap-down rise...

I liked them for a little while but have come to realize I really like sized diapers. And the omnis started making places on dd's legs. . And I got to where I didn't care for the fleece lining either.

The Echos for some reason always left red marks and they are too narrow through the crotch which caused leaks. I could also never use the cover twice because it would either get wet, smelly or both.

That being said, I adore the bamboo pods. We use them in all of our pockets and they are really trim and bullet-proof absorbent. For overnight we use an Omni stuffed with a bamboo pod and a newborn pod and we have never, ever had a leak.
