Re: Help me choose a double stroller (POLL)

If you have a Buy Buy Baby near you go try them out in the store first. Weigh it down with bottles of detergent so something and try to go up and down aisles. I really wanted the City Select. I tred it out with my girls in it and it was SO hard to steer. It seemed SO long and unwieldy.

ETA:And it was a pain to fold because you had to remove the second seat first, or at least that what the employee told us.

Re: Help me choose a double stroller (POLL)

You know, this post got me thinking about which of these might actually be better to run with. I would like to start jogging after this baby, and my husband runs 4-5 times a week. Based on the wheels, it looks like a P&T Explorer w/ doubles kit would be best. Not to highjack here, but any opinions there?

If you were going to use it for running that much I would look into getting a BOB or something similar. I also have a BumbleRide Indie twin which is technically a double jogging stroller but I think it's a little heavier than a BOB.

Re: Help me choose a double stroller (POLL)

I went through many many double strollers in search of the perfect one when my twins were babes/toddlers. I really loved the Kolcraft Contours. We never had the budget for a Phil and Teds but the Contours is super smooth, easy to turn (unlike many double tandems), the seats can be interchanged, both facing forward, both facing mama, the two seats facing each other, and has a large storage underneath, and cup holders and small closing container for mamas keys, etc. A large canopy to offer full coverage. It also comes with one infant snap in so you can snap the infant seat in instead of putting a nb in the seat directly if you so choose. A lot of my fellow twin moms also really like this particular stroller too. Good luck in your quest for the perfect double!

I also have the Britax b-ready and really like it! I've only used it as a double a few times with my friends toddler, (I'm 33wks pregnant w/#2) but it's great. I love that it can be a single when I want to wear DS2, it fits through small spaces well and folds up well enough to fit in my Nissan Altima trunk with the second seat detached even (but you don't have to detach the second seat, just lay it flat and it folds!).
