Not liking Luke's Drawers?
I got a Luke's Drawers fitted and I am not sure I like the design. I don't have a child to try it on, but I don't like the snapping. It seems to snap differently (wings snap under front) than my other fitteds and its soaker snaps in the front. Is this standard for LD? Does it work OK? What other diapers have this design? I am building my stash and trying a little of everything, so I might stay away from other fitteds like this if they don't perform well.

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
I only have one LD and agree that the snap system was different to me at first, but I have to say those dipes are the one few ones that fit like a glove on DS so I love them. I have a Sugar Peas ss that also snap the same way and Little Fishys. Not sure which other dipes do.
HTH!

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
Sounds like you're describing side-snaps. I wasn't crazy about them at first (ok, I'm still not *crazy* about them) but I will say to give them a chance. They are supposed to be really good for babies whose thighs and waist are different sizes (skinny thighs and chubby belly or skinny waist and chubby thighs) because you can adjust the waist and legs separately. They also do look a little cuter/cleaner since the front is smooth, if that's something that's important to you. Oh yeah, and you don't get as much wing droop which is a bigger problem for some people than others. Somebody else will have to explain to you what that is because my pregnant brain can't put it in words tonight!
![]() As for the snap-in soaker, I dont' know that it really makes much difference whether it snaps in the front or the back. I haven't tried one that snaps in the front so I can't say for sure. Good luck! |

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
Thanks for the replies. I will have to keep an open mind about it. I can see where it would make for a cleaner appearance. I was just curious if they worked well. I am glad to know they fit well.

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
I LOVE Luke's Drawers and they fit both of my boys great! My 15 month old has huge thighs and the LD are about the only diaper that fits him well. I have been VERY happy with them and LD now make up most of my diaper stash.

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
Yeah, I have both LDs and SPs that are side snapping. I love the trimness and fit on my little guy. Definitely give them a chance!

Re: Not liking Luke's Drawers?
They were a little weird to me at first too, but now they are my favorite fitteds. I always reach for my LDs.
