Do lactation cookies really help?
I keep hearing about them. Does anyone have experience they can share. Do they really increase supply?

For me, they really did. I stuff a ton of fenugreek in mine, though. A lot of it is the extra calories, I think.

They do, but I generally preferred just dumping the ingredients into a bowl of nice hot oatmeal. I drank Mothers Milk tea a ton, too. The thing that really got my supply going at first, though, was green papaya soup - it's a Chinese remedy and worked crazy well: from <2 oz to 7+ per pumping session!

Re: Do lactation cookies really help?
They helped me for sure, but No Bake cookies worked just as well, are easier/faster to make and less expensive. Eating one as I type...

Re: Do lactation cookies really help?
I don't know, but they sure are yummy! There's a company somewhere around here that makes them called Milk'n'cookies, and they are super good. I made some of my own for a doula client, and I'll probably make a few batches for this baby. I agree that it's probably the extra calories and fat that make them really effective. mmm..butter.
