So your Kindle is the 3G one? And what can the web browser do? I asked my husband, and he guessed that the browser can only be used for the sole purpose of downloading books? Is that correct? Or can things like Yahoo Mail be used on it too?

It's not a 3G model, only connects to a wifi signal. I'm not sure about the browser, I've honestly never used the browser, but I just got mine out and it connected to yahoo without a problem. Also has built in bookmarks for Facebook, google, Wikipedia, etc plus an address bar so you can tell it where to go. The kindle store has it's own "app" I guess you'd call it. It's not done over the browser. You can also buy books on the computer and it will automatically send them to the kindle. Each kindle also has a unique email address so that you can send documents/books you download elsewhere to it over their whispernet.
