52 weeks of Organizing

I have ran across a fantastic website and I think I have read every page at least 3 times in the last month. Minimalism isn't just about less stuff to me - it's about boundaries in my life. I want less stuff to clog my life so I can focus on the amazing life I have in front of me!

With the new year coming, I am gearing up to start the 52 week process myself! I'm SO excited. I know with Christmas right around the corner that old things are leaving my house (I do this every year) and new things are coming in. I also recognize that I am still flooded with crap. I couldn't name all the things on my desk, that is ridiculous. That is just one example of how my lack of organization has been ignored. Most things are easy if I commit to them - like grocery lists and organization of my meal planning for a better budget. Other things will take a serious amount of time to stay on top of - like my desk.

It all starts with this list!!. I haven't filled mine out completely yet but I am working on it.

So, would anyone like to join me?!

I would love to, really now that we are looking at remodeling our home and having another child, I want to really minimize my house. I have so much stuff! So much, it's crazy. It's all on my mind to get rid of a lot of the stuff asap!

I am in! This sounds like a like a good idea, since you can make your own list of 52 projects and then work off of it during the year. Right? That makes more sense to me than following along with some program that someone else made up that works for them. Great idea! Thanks!

I'm glad to have a weekly accountability and share thread! Over the next 2 weeks I'm going to develop my list and share it too. This may be harder than it looks.... For now, I'm going to enjoy the newborn in my arms and Christmas week, but I have big plans for this house of mine this coming year!

Ooooh, I'm doing this!!

I was already thinking about this and how I need to do something small on a regular basis to organize my stuff better and to purge. DH and I have a whole room of stuff that we need to sort through. UGH!

One of my biggest obstacles is that I get overwhelmed with how to get rid of stuff. I've had luck recently with Craigslist. I think I need to try freecycle for some small stuff.
