If you knew the day you conceived...

If you knew the day you conceived your baby, how accurate was your due date?

Were you right at 40 weeks? 39? 38? etc?

With all of my 4 other pregnancies I had no idea when we conceived. They just did an ultrasound to give us a date. With this current pregnancy I'm pretty positive I know the day of conception (one of two days). So I'm curious if I'm going to be right on cue at 40 weeks since I know when we conceived?

I know some people give birth at 38 weeks, some at 41 weeks, but I've always wondered if it was because their day of conception was miscalculated? or whatever other dates they used was miscalculated? Or was it truly because that's when the baby was ready to come?

Am I making any sense?

Ask me again in a few weeks lol. I know the exact day I ovulated and the only day we could've conceived and I'm 36weeks right now.

ETA: my dating U/S matches my ovulation due date.

I know mine too which is 5 days after the average so my LMP doesn't match up.

I went to 40.5 with both my girls and knew date of conception.

I new the exact date with all three. Their due dates were accurate in my opinion.

DD1 was induced. I was young and wanted pregnancy over with. I was a couple days shy of 40wks with her.

DD2 came on her own at 37w 5d.

DS came on his own at 38wk 1d.

Conception was Dec 25th 2009.......EDD was Sept 18th....she was delivered on Sept 23rd.

We knew when I ovulated to the minute! Thanks fertility drugs

I'm just 8 weeks now. I know that we had sex one time within my fertile window (with a condom, no less, ), and I know I probably ovulated the next day. I haven't had an ultrasound yet.. I won't even have my first appointment for another two weeks or so and I don't think I'll be getting an ultrasound.

So.. I'll let you know in about 32 weeks or so. LOL

Oh, and for what it's worth, DS2 and DS3 both came ON their due dates. The due dates were based on early ultrasounds but I did not know exactly when I ovulated before hand. But obviously my dates were correct based on LMP.

I knew my exact day of conception as we only had sex one day that month and I delivered at 41 weeks but my ultrasound due date was dead on as to my conception date.

Ds came 41+6

Dd came 38+1

Both did weigh and measure the same.
