My almost 6 month old is soooo distracted while nursing these days! Everything is more interesting to her than eating...that is, except in the middle of the night!

Anyway, I'd like to get a breastfeeding necklace that is safe for her to play with and will keep her attention, but that is also attractive enough to wear out of the house! Any suggestions mamas?

If you search wood teething necklaces, I have found very lovely finished and unfinished teething jewelry on Etsy. Most for less than $15.

Married since 1-23-07. 2 beautiful sons born 4-24-08 and 11-3-11. 1 baby waiting in heaven since 1-13-11.

They have a bunch of other nice ones that would probably work too but these are supposed to be strung on extra strong cording to prevent breaking.

Can anyone explain to me what a "nursing necklace" or "amber necklace" is for? I know it serves some kind of purpose but I'm not familiar with it.

A nursing necklace is for mama to wear and baby to keep hands busy (rather than pulling your hair, etc.) While nursing. An amber necklace is for baby to wear to help with teething pain.
